“With one week until Mike Madigan’s presumptive reelection as head of the Illinois Democratic Party, JB Pritzker continues to do anything he can to avoid commenting. Despite calls from Pritzker’s endorsers that Madigan step down as head of the party, Pritzker refuses to take a stand.” – Rauner Campaign Spokesman Alex Browning

The date to elect the head of the Democratic Party of Illinois has been set, and Mike Madigan’s handpicked candidate for governor JB Pritzker has yet to comment on Madigan’s expected reelection.

Pritzker’s endorsers have repeatedly called for Madigan to step down as head of the party, and yet Pritzker dodges any direct question on Madigan, including one press conference when Pritzker took more than 5 minutes to admit Madigan’s office took too long in investigating allegations of sexual harassment.

With Mike Madigan’s expected reelection as head of the Democratic Party of Illinois, Pritzker has a choice to make: stand with Mike Madigan, or stand with those who have called for Madigan to step down.
